At the end of the day, Loran, Seth and Kirby were stacking rocks at the back of the homesite to retain the tall wall of clay. One of these rocks was about 2000 pounds, 8 feet long and 4 feet wide - it was “the big rock that could” - that is, could tip over the backhoe carrying it. Kirby luckily survived as he was trying to save the tipping hoe before it bit the dust. Both Kirby and the backhoe are fine now. See more Photos.
