Well, the T&G, sleepers, insulation and plywood are installed and we can now walk on the 2nd floor without falling in! On top of that, we can make it up to the 2nd floor without a ladder - we have stairs!! Some of the wiring was run through the floor - remaining wiring will be run through the bale walls.
Most of the posts and beams on the 2nd story are braced and put up. The interior posts down the middle with the 5 1/8 x 18 beam (50 feet worth) on top of them will be next. Then, follows the fun part of strapping and nailing thousands of nails.
Mid to end of next week, the guys will be installing the roof rafters (14” BCI) and plywood decking - ready to receive the grey metal, standing-seam roofing.
